The ability for a PBX to adapt to any deployment need is critical when selecting a PBX platform as a reseller. The traditional business hours of 9am-5pm are no longer practical in the SMB world as working hours very to meet customer needs. I believe that the ability for a voice communications platform to adapt as needed is crucial for success. However, the ability to adapt alone is not enough. Call flow changes must be simplified to the point where with the push of a button the change is complete. At the same time the system must be intelligent enough to automatically change call flow back to normal should you forget to do it.
